Types of wet batch concrete plant
According to feeding type, concrete batch plant includes belt type batching plant and hopper type batching plant. The former type includes models AJ60, AJ90, AJ120, AJ180. The latter type includes models AJ25, AJ35, AJ50, AJ75.
Belt type batching plant
Advantages:
- Fast feeding, long conveying distance, high efficiency;
- Low failure rate, able to complete large-scale operation requirements, improve efficiency;
- Short feeding cycle, large discharging quantity, suitable for commercial concrete mixing plant.
Disadvantage: high cost.
Hopper type batching plant

Differences between wet batching plant and dry batching plant
The wet mix concrete plant is called central mix concrete batch plant, it mixes the aggregate materials well, the materials are transported by truck mixer to construction site. The material can be used directly. But it needs to be used before condensed. The longest storage time is less than 24h.
The dry mix concrete plant, called transit mix plant, mixes the materials, then the materials are transported to the construction site, adding water and mixing, then the aggregate materials can be used. Dry mortars have a long shelf life, usually 3 months or 6 months.
Central mixers are designed for one purpose:
- Mix the ingredients into a finished product with an extremely aggressive mixing action.
Transit mixers are designed for multiple purposes:
- Auger the mix into the mixing truck drum;
- Mix the ingredients;
- Transport the mix to job site;
- Auger the mix out of the truck drum into the chutes;
- The multiple functions of the transit mixer can compromise the mixing action.
Wet mix concrete plant is more convenient than dry mix concrete plant, while the cost of wet mix plant is double the cost of a dry mix plant.
How to choose a suitable concrete mixer?
The purchase of concrete mixer should be based on the application and characteristic, for example, water conservancy project needs compulsory mixer. Construction environment is another important factor. For construction site with convenient transport, choose smaller twin-mixer of the small size. Prepare enough components to ensure the smooth operation.
The small mixing plant has simpler structure and control system, the requirements for the operator are also lower. Big mixing plant has more complex structure, higher degree of automation, and the standards of operator are higher.
